Meet Krystal Pulido

Hello I am Krystal Pulido. I am a Certified Holistic Nutritionist & Mindset Mentor whose passion has always been focused on health and personal development, empowering individuals to create their own health and happiness.

Being healthy is not just about the food, although very important. Your lifestyle, stress, sleep, self care, and supplementation, or lack there is just as important. Every body is different with a unique genetic makeup and lifestyle, health and environmental history. My approach to nutrition is Whole-listic. I focus on what each individual client needs which involves nutrition, diet, sleep, stress management, personal development recommendations.  that you must first invest in yourself before you can invest in anyone else.

I spent most of my late 20’s and early 30’s in a Sales job in corporate America. I was extremely disciplined with my diet, workouts and daily schedule. It was my daily investments in myself that resulted in my great career accomplishments, however I didn’t realize it at that time.

I had my first baby at 36, at that time I had just left my sales position in Corporate America. Having a baby was supposed to be the most magical thing but instead I suffered from severe anxiety, mood swings and struggled with my weight gain. I was so unhappy and had no idea at that time how much of an impact lack of sleep and self-care impacted my mental state. Also for the first time I needed to diet to lose weight and I didn't know where to start and didn't know where to go. This began my personal journey with learning nutrition. I was so passionate about it I decided to go back to school to study nutrition.

By the time my second son was born I was almost finished with my nutrition schooling. I had a consistent morning routine, I was meditating daily, I was working out before the baby would wake up, I was using food as nutrition and I felt unstoppable. When the baby started struggling with sleep, so did I and it was as if I forgot everything I learned in school. I was eating a healthy diet but that was it. I was so consumed with my children that I neglected my own needs. It became hard to show up for my children.  My husband and I began to argue more. My thoughts consumed me like a black cloud and when I finally came to I had realized our marriage was breaking.  I didn't know it then but later would realize that self-care,  mindfulness and meditation are just as important as nutrition.

We knew in order to repair our relationship, we needed to invest in ourselves first. Eat healthy, move our bodies and get back into daily self-development. He worked a full-time corporate job; I was finishing school, trying to start a business, and had two children home but we made the time and stayed disciplined.  Its because of the discipline and hard work that we are happier, our relationship is better because of it, we are better parents, and our boys are getting the parental love and guidance they deserve.

Are you feeling overwhelmed with nutritional information? Are you struggling to get up and get motivated? Do you feel like your personal health is affecting your loved ones?  Life can be complicated, unpredictable and stressful but that doesn’t mean we need to suffer through it. It starts with you and investing in your health.
